Can't decide - stick to my Z3 3.0, or swap for Z4 3.0...
Discussion
So we have had the Z3 3.0 since last autumn and live top down driving.
Now we have got rid of the E36 328 it is our only car and starting to see certain benefits/comforts of having a Z4 over the Z3, such as fully electric roof, proper glass rear screen and much improved handling.
So we originally decided that we would Wang a facelift 2006 model, but would mean our money would only stretch to the 2.5, which we test drove yesterday. Unfortunately it just didn't have the thrill that our current Z3 3.0 has.
So now we are wondering - do we stick to our 2002 Z3 3.0, or do we swap for a Z4 3.0, but would only get us a 2003 model for our money unless we wanted to get a high milage one.

Selling mine in the next few weeks so I can upgrade - 03, SMG, full BMWSH (plus loads of other work, e.g. seatbelt unit replacement, bushes/arms, etc.), BMW warranty, OEM Z4M alloys, most options except satnav (upgraded sound, pdc, elec + mem. seats, deflector, internal storage, etc.), titanium silver, 63k. Let me know if you're wanting to buy from a fastidious PHer

Sounds good - depending on what you want for it

Similar cars seem to sell for between £8,500 and £9,500, from what I've been tracking of the market over the last few weeks. I expect to both list and sell mine at some point within that range.
The 3.0is which are low 8s and in the 7s are normally pov spec, high mileage, battered/dinged, or combinations of all 3. Saw a merlot in a garage up the road recently for about £7,800 - looked a proper state.

horpe, you mean? That's the parents' place - I live in Doncaster now (not updated the profile). I'm about 2 miles from J4 of the M18.
Rears have got oodles of tread left. They were done about 5/6k ago. Last pair of 452s lasted 15k on the rear and I replaced them well above the limit. Fronts are ready for replacing soon - can be done or negotiated into price, of course.
