I'm planning on changing my tyres from run-flats to normal tyres so am planning on getting a space saver tyre/wheel off an E46 there seems to be 2 sizes 16" & 17".
I have a E91 330d M-sport with 18" rims and huge breaks on the front, question is do i need the 17" ones or will the 16" be OK???

Thanks..

If the huge brake are the standard BMW items then I believe you will be needing the 17" S/Saver.

Yep standard fit M-sport Breaks, there's not much space inside the 18" rims!

The 16" will probably break your brakes smile

Is there space under the boot carpet for a space saver? Looks tight to me. I have an E90 and chucked in first aid kit, high viz and a few spares.

Yep standard fit M-sport Breaks,
No such thing, just big sliding caliper on them. 330d is available with 17's from the factory so that should be fine.

Are you saying the calipers can be adjusted?

Why would you want to adjust the calipers? I simply removed my 18" wheels and then fitted my 17" wheels.

Because there is less than 1/2" between the caliper and the 18" wheel!
Hence if i try and fit 17" rims they will foul calipers unless the 17" wheels have a different rim design to the 18"'s?

I was referring to this post!

Well, my spare set of 17" with winter tyres are replica wheels, not from BMW but still fit ok.

Is this on an E90 M-Sport?
If so how much space have you got between the caliper and the rim when you have your 18"'s on?

Do you know what the gap between your 18" wheels and the calipers?
Also, what are the wheels/tyres your running? I have been thinking about getting some winter tyres while there still cheap & available!!!
