arding 520d sounds......arrrggghhhhhhhh

I just again spoken to my local ICE firm as I'm not entirely happy with the sounds in the car....... it's a 58 plate and I asked if an in line amp install would make a difference...... they have something(can't remember name) and he said if it's installed it's a vast improvement over the stock sounds amp with head unit, cost approx £500.

If I wanted to upgrade speaker at later date, he said it's not possible as they can't get any speaker suppliers that supply the size they require to fit into door card and door pillar.....they could change speakers but it would involve a lot of invasive work and would obviously cost a fair bit more than £500

This can't be right, can it ?

Buy the Logic 7 speakers and tweeters from BMW, or German ebay. I beleive even just installing the tweeters makes a huge difference, you won't have them in the standard setup, very easy to do too.

There is also an alpine upgrade kit available from BMW, includes amp and speakers, not sure of the full details but there is more info on e90post.
