530d blank screen

hiya all,

CD was playing, ingition turned on '1' then all went off, screen went blank, indicator on dash also stopped working! Uugghh!! Indicators working on ouside - is this s fuse??

computer screen gone blank any ideas?

A bit vague !

Are there any of the operational lights still working? is there a faint image on the screen? slide down/up mechanism & backlights still working?

Checked fuses? how about reseating all the wiring connections at the computer and CD changer modules etc ?

Random electrical gremlins are often an early sign of the ignition switch failing. Simple and cheap DIY fix.

agreed with the notion that funny electrical gremlins can be attributed to a faulty ignition switch!

do indeed check fuses as well though!
