Modern BMWs are ugly..
Discussion
I'm a big BMW fan..having driven around in e39s for the best part of 15 years now.
I was in my local dealer this afternoon, specifically to have a look at an f10, and it struck me that the current model range is pretty ugly. In my opinion there isn't one good looking car in the range. They are all much bigger than they should be as well, with enormous "nostrils". The 7 series just looks hilarious from the front.
So maybe I'm not really a BMW fan, just an e39 fan.

I think the FUGLY designs are still filtering down from the Bangle design days. Maybe they could get some designs from the new studio into production before BMW completely lose the market share of enthusiasts and just produce company hacks.
Surely nothings worse than the 6-Series "flagship", designed by Bangle who also designed the Fiat Multipla?
Nuff said.

agree. i wouldn't say the new F10 is ugly, not stunning or as well rounded as a face lifted E39 by any means, but not a bad looker. a bit dull, perhaps.
the new 5 is growing on me the more i see it though. other than that i agree. i do like the E63 6 series which is no longer in production, the new one is a little too dull for me. since the E46 face lift (IMO), BMW have yet to make a better design. i do like the E92 M3, but then i'm biased as my dad owns one, and it's nothing short of a sublime piece of kit with a ridiculously addictive engine.

The E46 and E63 ranges where BMW'S last attractive looking cars imo. The new ones are just to awkward for me. The current 1-Series is a lot better than the future model though.
The F10 needs some modifications to look rather stunning!

another Alpine white example..

I think the new 6 series is a vast improvement on the old one overall, the new 1 series, not so much. However, as has been the case over the years, with a modest suspension lowering, with some quality bigger wheels, the looks of a BMW can be vastly improved.
It'll be good to see the production F10 M5 announced fully, also, the forthcoming F30 M3 is sure to cause a stir as well!
Will BMW produce 'company type boxes' - to an extent yes, every manufacturer has to as most new cars indeed are run as company cars etc and those 'owners' don't really modify to get the 'best' looks out of the cars. Once they come out of lease and into hands of more private individuals, there'll be more examples like the above around
Cheers, Dennis!
