My cars windows become streaky every time I open them?

The cars a 2008 BMW 650i everytime I open the windows and put them up they get streak marks on them - any ideas what is wrong - could it be the window alignment?

They seem to be dirty frmo inside rather than outside - have cleaned the window sills but still the same problem is driving me mad....any ideas?

At a guess, the sound deadening material that is stuck to the inside of the door skin has partially come away, and the glass is rubbing on it when opening.

Cheers - guess I'll have to get the door panel opened up to see wagwaan inside
