Is this normal?

Hey guys, wondering if i could trouble you for some advice.

I picked up a used 2009 3 series at the weekend, when I got back i set everything how i wanted it. I set it so that when i press the indicator it flashes three times. This worked fine for the last couple of days, but i've just been out in it and it has turned off that option. I hadn't touched the settings. Do you reckon theres a problem with it?

The side lights also appear to be on when i'm driving even though the lights aren't set on automatic, is this normal? if so is there anyway I can turn them off? Feel like a plonker driving around with my side lights on when its sunny out!

Lastly, when i used it with my ipod the other day, I could turn the circular button one click to change a track (just like what you can when your listening to a cd) but just driven it again and to change track i have turn the circular button and then press it down to select. Just seems weird that the settings have changed.

Is this normal or am i missing something? Sorry if this all seems like silly questions, typical girl and clueless about cars

Sure you've not used a different key?
It remembers all the above for each key/driver.
