Whiling away some time this morning on our favourite Internet auction site and came across a decent looking e30 325 touring. One cheeky bid and for the princely sum of £505 it was mine. 2 hours later and it's on the drive. Looking forward to having a bit of cheap fun over the summer and getting rid of the soul destroying primera I've been running round in.
Cool story I know

+1 yes

I've always considered the E30 touring to be a superb conversion of a saloon car into an estate.

Just watch the rear end in the wet, E30 325's can get a bit frisky in the damp!.

I ran a mint 325i E30 touring auto last year. Great sound, great car!

Averaged low 30's on a run which was a bonus.

Hope all goes well for you.

Proper car, I learnt more about driving in one of them than anything else I have owned including the CSL, dearly missed.....

I know of one of these (same colour, 325i estate - F reg though) that's been stood on a drive in Tyldesley for well over a year. Go past it everyday and I'm always tempted to ask about it - wish I had the cash spare though.

Yep, hopefully learnt my lesson after crashing the mx-5 while being a bit enthusiastic with the right foot.

I've got two at the moment (plus a E39 530d touring);

I've got a 320i (no pics of that) that needs a new steering rack in the barn on the farm where I live and this one below is about to be broken for parts - I think the engine has another knackered head on it - changed (at the cost of £1,000 last year and 30,000 miles ago).

She's done 228,000 miles.......she returned 29.4 overall in my time with her. For a 20 year old, with a 2.5 straight six. I think that's brilliant.

She looks great from the outside but is a tad rusty in all the wrong places on closer inspection.

She's also f**ked chap I'm afraid. The inner sills are shot and someone drove into the side of me in a carpark and hit me just above the passenger side rear wheel arch. didn't leave a note. Basically, with the mileage she's done and the potential expenditure I'm facing or the next person whom might buy it faces I think she's worth next to nothing. But I can frag it and at least get something back for the interior, wheels, steering wheel, tool kit and the plethora of spares I've built up over the last 3 years.

I love her to bits but sometimes you just have to face reality! she's going to go to the scrappy.

Been there, done that with My previous, beloved E30 325i Sport!.

Owned it for 12years, loved every drive in it but the inner and outer sills completely rusted through underneath the sill covers (which meant she still passed MOT's as they cannot remove any covers and the rust wasn't visible!), the roof was rusting from the inside out due to the sunroof drainage channels corroding and eventually the LSD decided to part company with the underside of the car!.

Had to scrap her in the end!weeping
