Recommend BMW Inde Specialist in Birmingham?
Discussion
Hi
In the official 'BMW Specialist List' the nearest one to me is Pershore which is a fair treck. Can anyone recommend a decent inde in Birmingham, preferably south side, Moseley way?
I'm specifically after someone who knows his stuff regarding wheel alignment, tracking and suspension issues. We have a persistant vibration through the front wheels between 60-65 mph that our local 'jack of all trades garage' has been unable to fix (aligned wheels, scrubbed rims, changed tyres, put weights on, fiddled with pressures).
Cheers.

For your problems you need to get along to Aline in Dudley.

Then just get a trusted local to replace whatever it is they recommend.
If you really want to go down the specialist route then there's RSJ Autos on Runcorn Road, but I warn you now the guy's customer service is f
king appalling and the premesis looks like a scrap yard.
EDIT - what car are you talking about and what exactly are the problems?

We have an 02 plate E46 330i tourer. The problem is much as I described, specifically between 60 - 65mph there is a vibration which seems to come from the front wheels, light at first, to a strong vibration then fades away around 70mph. It's really a specialist in this rather than a BMW one that I am after, so your suggestion of Aline may be the ticket.

I've used RSJ for several years. It's in a dodgy part of town, the place looks like a scrapyard and the brothers that run it have no time for chit chat or pleasantries. They don't suffer fools or customers that mess them around. However, you will get experienced mechanics that know BMWs inside out and they will never rip you off by overcharging or doing unnecessary work. The pricing is very, very competitive. When you see what they charge you will understand why there is no free coffee, plush waiting room or time for chit chat. If this sounds like the service you want, they are second to none.If you really want to go down the specialist route then there's RSJ Autos on Runcorn Road, but I warn you now the guy's customer service is f

I lived on Mary Street for years so know that part of the city well, well enough to know of at least two other garages within walking distance that are professional, courteous & efficient and who's yards don't look like a scrappers. One of them being another marque specialist.
I for one will never bother with that place again after leaving my car with him around 9:00 for a wishbone change. Returning at 4:30 to ask what was going on as he hadn't even bothered to take a contact number for me and then having to wait while he ranted at someone else down the phone only to be told that they had only got as far as removing the old wishbone and I'd just have to wait until the next day for my car back.
