Am in the process of hunting high and low for my second fob for my 1 series that I'm selling.

Knowing my luck it'll turn up just as I've let the car go but wouldn't want to lose a sale as I've only got one key.

Any idea how much a dealer will extract from me for a new one, I'm bracing myself......

On an e90 the fob costs around £140 and the back-up key £25. Each fob and key are made for the particular car and don't need coding. To order the key you need evidence of identity and address along with the registration document for the car. The order takes about a week.
