Z4 Alpina

I'm sort of interested in getting a 2005 Z4 Alpina.

Now I don't know much about the BMW engine these cars are fitted with, is there anything I should be worried about?

Or any other Z4 problems?

I hope I can help. I currently have one of these, but late 2004, on a 54 plate.

They were only produced over 2004-2005, or rather, brought into the UK in these years, and only 167 ever did, so they are quite rare.

Engine wise, I havent had a problem, only maintenance things I've had done are due to age, and the model - alternator has been changed due to old age, also rear springs replaced as these are the "weak" links on the car itself.

The 3.4 litre engine is strong as hell, and very gutsy, it's speed and continual speed has not stopped putting a smile on my face since I bought the car 18 months ago.

I would possibly sell for the right price, and have lots more to add if you want to know more - could talk all day about the Roadster S, and Alpina's in general.

There is a black one in the classified on here for 13.5k. I shouldn't really be thinking of buying one at the moment, but the price is quite good IMO.

It would be an occasional use car for me.

I already have a C2 2.7 convertible, so I'm obviously a fan.

Sold a TVR Tuscan for mine....... Not as 'big occasion' as the Tuscan, but equally not as 'PINA' and was joyous on a 2000mi tour of Spain and France, just a month ago....

It will depend on what I could get it for? It's not a car I need, so it's probably a car I shouldn't buy! I need to factor in a possible head gasket failure too!
