Hi all,

Was looking for some advice on having the alpine upgrade fitted to a base stereo on an e92 (not something I'd dare try myself)

Have read on numerous forums that the fit is fairly straight forward, but I just asked a local indy BMW specialist for a quote on the fit and they said it's not something they'd be able to do.

Obviously I'd rather someone with previous BMW experience fit it, but is it something that would be easy for just a local ICE place to fit?

Don't want to be paying a BMW official dealer for 2.5 hours work in an ideal world!

Thanks

Hi Nick,

I am looking to get this fitted to my E91 and on e90post.com, there was talk of getting it fitted for around 100-150 at any reputable car stereo place.

There is often a groupbuy where you can get the Alpine upgrade fitted for around £550ish from a BMW dealer. That would be around £200 labour cost from BM..the Alpine kit itself is around £350 ish

Hope this helps

Thanks HB.

Yes that does help- I think I will go with the independent guy for fitting unless BMW can offer me a good deal on the stereo & fitting combined.

Just so you know- I've been quoted £347 with delivery on the bmwland forum.
