Now this is starting to make more sense, why the hell didn't BMW release these as press images at launch?

Horribly proportioned, looks dire.
Is that an estate or hatch?
If the former, then air enough - but if the latter, did they hire Subaru's designer on a very low wage?
I'd say you only have to look at it, and the answer to your rhetorical question is, erm.....self evident.

I have just parted with my 118d company car, and im not inspired by the new one at all.

This looks good from the front, but I hate the back, it was the worst bit of the Mk1 and I dont think this is improved......

Still don't like the headlights, but yes, this is far far better than the std car.

Just a shame they're not putting the 3.0 in this one.

Looks like they over did it when they ordered the 7 series headlights and designed a model to fit them to. Well out of proportion.

When are they going to ditch the cheap looking matt grey plastic rear bumper? Looks terrible on all m sport cars. Not long ago, BMW would charge for colour coding.

It's the side windows, they're much too small compared with the doors. Even if you ignore that the whole thing is still UGLY.

As I said on another thread, being a BMW it's probably a great car to drive, and has the added bonus that while you're in it, you can't see it!

The new saloon shape is much nicer.

I'm sure it will look a lot better in the flesh, having seen the press pics of the sport & urban models and then seen them up close I think a few people will be surprised...

It would appear more aesthetically pleasing after one decorates the above automobile with vomit.....

I really like the new 1er....

I bet this car will be a huge success for BMW.

Hope it drives even better than the old one.

+1

The headlights are massive, I almost prefer the old one!
