Done about 3k miles now and all going well.

However the radio reception on FM can become so poor I have to turn it down or off. I'm talking about main stations such as the BBC. I have the RDS option ticked, but to me it sounds and behaves as though the RDS jump over is not happening as it becomes so poor in reception quality that as I said above I am forced to turn the damn thing off! Not good!

It's a standard radio with a single CD slot.

Am I missing something here?...apart from a decent reception (see what I did there?)

Have you selected regional?? If so it will try and stick with the original frequency that you choose for Radio 1, Radio 2 etc. etc.

Hmmm. I'll have a look at that. So to retune as I drive about 'regional' needs to be unticked?

Regional holds onto the frequency for as long as it can, in case you live in an area between masts, but sometimes far too long.

Great thank you. I have deselected that box and will see how it goes. It's logical. Question...what purpose does that button serve, as surely we all want the radio to retune as we drive along?

Thanks again. I thought I had the worst car radio in 20+ years of driving!

Just a quick 'thank you' to say it's sorted and reception is greatly improved smile
