Morning all, I'm new to the BMW forum.
Just recently purchased a 330d auto having come out of Renault Sport Clio.

Very impressed so far, especially the economy, which the main reason for switching to a diesel.

I have a warning of a O/S/R bulb failure on the dash check control panel. All the bulbs are working correctly and I have taken out the multi pin plug and all the bulbs and cleaned and replaced.

Is this a common problem? Any ideas of a fix or is it down to a auto electrican?

Cheers

Number plate bulbs?

It's quite common to get bad connections on the plugs to the rear lights

I had exactly the same problem. One of my connectors had burned away due to over voltage or something similar. Its a well documented issue and for me the only way to fix it was to purchase a replace rear lens.

Common problem - it is the grounding pin in the connector which will have corroded. I ended up cutting the wire and grounding it to a screw.

have you checked the high level brake light? It reports itself as the offside rear when blown.

Most people miss this.
