Anyone replaced a Z3 clutch
Discussion
Fairly straightforward. It would be possible on the ground but very difficult. the joy of rwd is that the gearbox is behind the engine.
To change the clutch,
1. Remove exhaust
2. Remove tranmission tunnel heatshield
3. Disconnect prop from gearbox and tie out of the way
4. Remove starter motor and slave cylinder (battery disconnected)
5. Remove gearbox
6. Replace clutch kit (alignment tool or homemade version needed)
As Haynes love to say-refitting is the reverse of removal.
