The fronts on the 335i need changing, 6mm across the tyre but running through the chords on the inside edge and need replacing. I am looking at ditching the factory run flats and replacing them with normal tyres and a can of tyre weld but am looking at the sizes.

I am looking at the vredestein ultrac sessanta based on cost and reviews (if there are any other recommendations please shout!) and notice that they do come in the 225 35 r19's that are on there at the moment but up near £170 from camskill.

They are available in 235 35 r19 at a far cheaper price, will these work or will they rub? Can I get away with it?

Identical to above, no issues. I know someone who has 275's on the rear of a 335i also with no issues.

I have the same sized Falken 452 setup, as toxicnerve, on my E92 335i and also some 17" rims shod with Dunlop Winter sport 3D; 225/45 all round.

I'd look at getting the car aligned properly, too. If you've knocked out the inner shoulder with 6mm on the rest of the tyre, something is clearly not right.

Thanks for all the points guys, looking like the falkens could be the way to go, especially with blackcirles allowing to have them bought and fitted for £300ish....

The alignment is defiantly on the to do list, likely have that and the tracking done at the same time....

Not wishing to cause confusion but from personal experience on my E46 M3 I would rate your original choice (Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas) pretty highly and you could get a pair of those delivered for around £280 from Tyremen in Hull (I've used them before wih no problems). Therefore, fitted you could probably have the Vreds for about the same money as the Falkens; not saying they're better as I've no experience of the Falkens but the Vredesteins would certainly do a good job for you IMO!

fair point, there isn't much in it really:

ultrac's - £135 each from camskill + £15 fitting at the local = £300 total
FK 452's - £144 each fitted from black circles = £288 total....

not very much in it at all.....

And from the reports I don't think you'd go far wrong with either. As I said, I can vouch for the Vredesteins as I've been running those on my M3 for over 40k miles; good grip wet or dry, good ride quality and last somewhere between 15k and 20k miles depending on the type of driving you do (and your driving style of course!). Prior to moving over to the Ultrac Sessantas my car had PS2's and, good as they were, as an all round tyre I don't think they were any better than the Vreds (and probably worse in the wet); they cost a fair bit more as well so I've never had any inclination to change back!
