Hello all ~ I appreciate the M-Sport has different springs and dampers to the SE but does anyone know if the M-Sport spec has a thicker ARBs compared to the SE versions ?

I've also read on some forums that some early E92 SEs had sport suspension ~ any ideas if this was standard spec at the time or a factory option ?

Early cars came with sport suspension as standard, not sure when the coupe got SE suspension, probably at the same time the M-Sport model came out.
I think they also started putting SE seats in at the same time, so that could be a give away, if it has sport seats then probably has sports suspension too.

Not sure on the art, have a look on www.realoem.com for part numbers.

Thanks Gizlaroc ~ I should have remembered RealOEM rolleyes. Looks like the early Sport type SE dampers are a different spec to the ones fitted later on M-Sport cars; the standard suspension could be had on these early SE 335s by specifying option code 225A ~ sport suspension delete )

I'm not 100% happy with the SE/Sport spec setup on my 335i; it has a little too much roll for me so I'm considering the Eibach ARB kit. The original factory bars are 26.5mm dia at the front and 13mm at the rear whichever suspension setup you choose; the Eibach sizes are 28mm front and 15mm rear. The diameters don't change much but the bar's area is 20% larger at the front and 33% larger at the back. Assuming the bar's stiffness increases in proportion to the bar area, I'm hoping the result will be less roll with little loss of rear grip. Has anyone on PH any experience of fitting an E92 with stronger ARBs ??

Thanks again.
