E90 Handbrake

Dear all,

From the last MOT on my 2006 E90 i had an advisory that the handbrake wasnt operating properly and there was an imbalance.This results in a long reach on the handbrake.

Can the handbrake be adjusted or am i looking at a replacement...expensive i imagine!

Plenty of adjustment possible unless the shoes are worn in which case only replacement will do. NB that while BMW handbrakes have a reputation for being ineffectual, I personally have not had any problems with mine, once adjusted
