Hi guys,

Exhaust emissions light came on today while my girlfriend was driving the car. Checked the car when I got back from work and engine does not sound right, juddering/vibrating quite badly at idol. Took these videos on my phone so excuse the poor quality:

Any idea's what this could be before I bring this to the bmw dealer?

certainly chugging a bit, isn't it - the exhaust clip is the more informative I would think, as it wasn't obvious from the first that there's a problem

Did it go away when you restarted the car?

Hi,
Better half's 330i went from being OK to vibrating quite badly and sounding rough.

It was a coil pack. AA man had a BMW one in the van and changed it out on the spot. Diagnostics kit he had even told him which pack it was.
Hard to believe that a single coil pack failing could cause it to run so rough. I think the coil pack from the AA man cost £28. cool

How much was it? Did you get it done at the dealer?

Should have been £50-£75 all in depending on where he went. It's a 15 minute job at the most and the part isn't hugely expensive.
