Can anyone direct me to a good place to hunt one of these down, ideally a 3.0si RHD.

My dad had two way back in the 70s and I've always wanted to get one and now he has dementia it would be my way of paying a bit of homage to the memories.

One had AKU in the numberplate and the other was CHG 3 S which was a brand spanker, our first brand new car ever, can remember it like it was yesterday sat waiting for him to return with it, still with cellophane on the seats etc.

There's one in either Classic Car Weekly or Classic Car Buyer (one of the classic car newspapers) at the moment. It's £1500 so I'm guessing in need of some work, but IIRC it's MOT'd and road-worthy. It's LHD and has Alpina alloys.

By constraining your search to a 3.0 and then RHD you are of course limiting your options quite a bit.

Good luck though. You may have seen the black car at Gaydon, recently restored, on Alpina alloys and carbs. I could perhaps put you in touch with the owner if you like. Edited to say - for advice, I'm sure he won't sell.

Cheers will have to nip down to WH Smiths.

I quite fancied one to restore and run on historic touring assemblies and the like.
