Anyone know how much they cost from a dealer?

I have been to see an E46 330ci at a second hand dealer but it only has one key, everything about the car is what i want and i'm wondering if i can negotiate them down a bit.

I paid for a new one for mine from Barons around 6 months ago, and cost £130 inc. VAT.

If you get one through the dealer I doubt you'd have much room to haggle, but worth a go I guess.

ETA: Just re-read that and realised what you meant. I guess it would depend on whether the car was bought with just the one key. If so, they may not be willing to barter a lot. I suppose a hundred quid isn't too much to drop by though.

Thanks CypherP, can you tell me if that price included any programming?

I could try that, they are taking the view of 'take it or leave it' as there is plenty of interest for them not to budge.

Keys come coded straight from Germany. I was told by the service guy at Barons that every car has around 4-5 keys pre-made and they just take a pre-coded key from their parts warehouse specific to the vehicle and chuck it in the post.

How much truth there is in this I don't know, but I'm sure that other manufacturers do a similar thing with regards to pre-programming a certain number of keys.
