X3 Panoramic roof - if you never open it?

Have read loads of threads about how bad these roofs are and how they stick open and cost a fortune to fix.

The thing is allot of the nicer specced used X3 have this roof.

So what if I never ever open the roof at all - that removes the risk of it getting stuck open but perhaps that is no guarantee it won't leak water and mess the electric up?

Perhaps there is a way to seal it up properly?

Or just avoid as it inevitable to give me expensive problems?
