2.5 air intake onto 2.8??

hi guys,

i've got an E38 728i arriving shortly after sealing a deal for a lovely example yesterday and have heard over the years it's more than beneficial to change to an E46 325i air intake??

what gains (power, economy, torque etc) could you expect, how much does a decent 2nd hand example cost and how many hours labour am i looking at paying someone to change it?

Depends on the age of the car.

Anything after March 98 (I believe) - essentially the twin vanos engines had a revised intake so you can't do the mod.

ah, it's a 2000 model with the double vanos....thanks for answering the question though mate, much appreciated
