Hello all,
firstly apologies for the post which may seem to a lot of people to have been covered before.
I'm picking up an e90 330d (2005) msport on the weekend and need to get some winter wheels for it. Following the quote from BMW of approx £1700 I thought I'd seek council on this forum. I have used the search here but have not come across a specific answer.

I understand that the wheels that I need to fit are 8j 17 et34, now what are the best places to source such a thing? I have been looking at ebay but chances are that I will pick p the incorrect set of wheels.
Does anyone have any experience of pirchasing wheels for this model?if so, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Scott

Hi Scott ~ I got some 17" style 158s for my E92 from here http://www.bmautosport.co.uk/showroom/index.php/e9... earlier this year; I wanted the wheels only so paid a reasonable amount less than the advertised price. The tyres were Dunlop Winter Sport 3Ds which from Camskill http://www.camskill.co.uk/m97b0s0p0/Winter_-_Snow_... and had them fitted & balanced locally. Cost was just under £1100 all in and prices currently look similar.

I own an E90 330d and last year I picked up a set of 4 17" alloys off an E92 (style 157), there seem to be plenty of 158 and 157s on ebay,

I got a set of the BMW winter wheels/tyres for my 330d ... and indeed £1700 was what I paid. There was a choice of 4 styles for the 330d - I went for 284's.

The ones I got and one other style were £1700 but the other 2 available were about £2000 !!

I went with the BMW set as my insurers (Admiral) said a BMW approved/supplied set would be OK and make no difference to the policy whereas if I fitted aftermarket wheels with winter tyres they would view that as a modification.
