Auto boxes and 325ti's
Discussion
Hi.
I'm going to look at a 325 ti at the weekend, price seems good and it's on a low mileage.
I've never owned an auto but this doesn't bother me, the car will be used rarely, basically when the bike is no good but I still want something decent to drive.
For some reason I assume auto boxes are the most complicated things in the world and likely to go wrong costing the earth to sort out? Am I worrying about nothing?
Anything I need to look for with the 325ti (2002) in particular?
Here is the car in quesiton; http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2002-BMW-325ti-SE-3dr-Au...
Cheers,

They're not bad in these, a regular 5 speed ZF which, as long as it has enough oil and a fully charged car battery to support the electronics, works for a long time. Faults are normally down to either a shagged battery/alternator/ABS sensor or something actually breaking in the box. By and large though they're pretty good and better than the GM ones used in the diesels.
