Hi,
I have just spoken to the previous owner of my latest acquisition.
The only thing he said that caused him a problem was that in winter, it became somewhat of a swamp on the left hand side.
He traced the problem to water ingress from the lower part of the rear c pillar internal light.
I had a look, and it does indeed look like water has dribbled out, down the seat back, onto the seat base, onto the floor, and made its way to the passenger footwell. I gathered this by the hardly noticeable brown 'tide mark'
Obviously it is nice and dry now but would like to sort it before it starts getting to the rainy season.
Judging by its exit point, I don't think it is the door seal, and would hazard a guess at something to do with a sunroof drain. I remember a while back I had a 944 that was like a swamp, this was due to the sunroof drain.
Does anyone have an idea how to examine this, or any other fault finder?
Much appreciated in advance.
Mike.

The drain normally runs from the sunroof to the nearest wheel arch. I would get a small funnel from Helfords and insert into the drain hole at the rear of the sunroof. Get a friend to pour water into it and check to see if it drips out under the car or into the interior. If the water does not drain, then try unbocking the drain hole with a coat hanger (gently). If that doesn't get a result, then sit in the car while someone soaks the rear door and window from a hose.
