E92 ipod question...

Just taken delivery of a new Alpina D3 coupe (today)

Have the Lux pack fitted (Sat nav, USB etc) and I'm just wondering if anyone knows that when the iPod is connected to the USB port, does it switch itself off when the car is locked?

Or do I need to disconnect it each time?

I leave mine connected (X6) and have done for 3 years with no problems. The iPod still has good battery life out of the car. Sorry I can't actually answer your question more precisely.
