E60 BiXenon e60 headlights issue

Hi

I have an E60 545M Sport with Active Bi Xenon headlights. My concern is that the top edge just along where the headlights meet the edge of the bonnet the plastic has gone rough and looks crazed !! I have been told that it is a heat issue from the xenons and that i should go back to BMW to rectify under the warranty.

Is this a known problem and is it a warranty covered item ???

Do you have a photo?

I doubt its a heat issue as I thought Xenon's ran cooler than halogen!
