Hi Chaps,

I'm looking at getting a 1 Series hatch to be my everyday car, I need to replace the current car in the next 3 months. I'm pretty keen on the new 1 series 3 door hatch as I only need something small that I can throw a mountain bike in the back of.

Question is - does anyone know a good source for BMW new model release dates, I'm specifically looking to find out when the new 1 series 3 door will go on sale (the 5 door is already on sale). I've done lots of searching around and all I can find is 'next year' for the 3 door.

Cheers

BMW has said the 3dr will follow about 9 months after the 5 dr becomes avalable.... so I'd say, it will be summer of 2012 before we see any being driven out of UK dealers.... probably just in time for the 1st Sept new reg.

My dealer said March 2012 for the 3 door, and apparently the Coupe and Convertibles will now become the 2 Series and due end of 2012...

Yes, this was speculated on forums 9-10 months ago at least and confirmed at the time by 'insider' info.

Thanks chaps - if this is the case I should be able to hang on for it :-)

Interesting the coupe will become the 2. I think the new coupe could be the looker of the bunch if they get it right.

I guess they will also release a 'new' 118d engine too as the new 120d makes the same Co2 as the old/current 118d but with much better performance, circa +40bhp.
