E46 radio cassette not powering on...
Discussion
Replaced my E46s radio cassette unit with an aftermarket head unit shortly after I got it, and kept the OEM unit in a drawer at home.
Now that I'm part-exing the BMW, I've gone to put it back in.
Everything's connected up, but the damn thing won't turn on.
Both fuses (7 and 41) are OK, and plugging the aftermarket unit in again shows that the power cable is working.
Anything else I should check before I source a replacement?

Well, bugger.
The fuse was missing on the back of the head unit - must have fallen out when I put it into storage. Put the 10A fuse from the reverse light into it and it sprang into life.
Annoying thing is, if there'd been a fuse in the back of it I'd have checked it, but with it missing altogether it just didn't occur to me.
Cheers
(now I've just got to figure out a way of selling the replacement unit I bought off eBay this morning)
