How do you tell if a Z3 has the hardtop fitting kit?

The metal clips are fitted to the car in front of the boot.

They're also rare, so don't buy a hardtop without looking into the cost or availability.

Avoid the aftermarket kits - they are rubbish quality, though they do work!

Can anyone with one fitted comment as to whether they're worth it?

I thought about getting one for my Z3M but doubt I'd get much change from a £1000 after buying the hood, fitting kit and paint?

They do look good once fitted though!

They are certainly worth it - one with a genuine fitting kit can still fetch 600 quid on the bay . Not particularly hard to fit or take on or off either. Best done with two people, but can be done with one if you have gorilla arms! Certainly seems to stiffen the car up when on, and they dont creak or rattle if fitted correctly.
