New F20 BMW 116d M Sport

Recently took delivery of my new car - 2013 BMW 116d M Sport - I went for the following choices/options:

Ambient lighting
Brushed aluminium interior trim
Driver comfort pack with front/rear park distance control - 1 Series Hatch
Electric power steering
Enhanced bluetooth telephone functionality with USB audio interface + voice cont
Full black panel display
Harman Kardon hi-fi speaker system
Instrument panel - Black high gloss finish
M sports suspension
Manual height adjustable front seats
Model designation deletion
Non Smokers pack
Xenon headlights + headlight washers
Solid - Alpine white

Had it for 2 weeks now and loving it - thought i'd share some quick pictures:

Looks great! The lights make it special and worth paying the extra for. You can also clearly see the quality of the interior' its a big jump up from the original 1 series. (Full black display looks cool too!)

thanks!! I wasn't overly impressed with the original 1 series.. in fact - I preferred the E46 compact to it. The full black panel display is pretty cool and useful - looks like this is the way BMW will be going with it's models from now on!..

Damn you and your black panel display! I was going to order it on my 320i but a lease company cock-up meant I ended up ordering a 14MY car and the price increase over the 13.5MY meant I couldn't fit it into budget - specced a centre armrest to make up the difference. A bit annoyed really but when it's not my money I shouldn't be too worried.

LOL!!! - I guess I also shouldn't tell you that the centre armrest was a no cost option on the 1er as well.. even slides between 2 positions!

I wouldn't worry about it too much.. I just picked it as it was only £125 or so iirc - figured you couldn't go wrong for the price!

I should have said its the rear armrest - I do have a front one!

£140 on a 3 series, I only specced it to spend all of my allowance!

LOL!!!! - fair play!!.. makes sense now!.. my sister has an E93 320d M Sport convertible in Alpine White with coral red leather and always liked the way that drove. The only issue I have with the 3 series convertibles and coupes is access to the back seat - which requires the ability of a skilled contortionist to get into or out of (even worse when trying to utilise the space for kids i.e. getting them into kid seats!!).

The new 1er has noticeable more room in the back and the 5 doors make it a breeze to get my son into and out of the kid seat in the back.

Have to say these new I ers look far better than my 57 plate.Not sure what they have done but subtle the changes may be, they work very well I reckon.Good luck with your new car!!!

That's very nice - particularly in that colour. I have just bought my wife a 116d EfficientDynamics, 3dr in silver. Its tremendous. Plenty of grunt for her needs and a massively impressive feel all around. Very impressed so far.
