Enquired about a car they had and spoke to an obnoxious moron in their sales team who said they wouldn't discuss prices over the phone and would only deal with someone in person ?!?

I've bought our last 8 or 10 cars by phone from main dealers and never had someone be so rude or keen to lose business ?!

Shame as I quite like one of the cars they have in used stock.

FWIW a friend deals with many BMW dealers on a weekly basis and when I was looking at a BMW they told me to avoid Berry Chiswick at all costs ! They suggested Vines group which is who I ended up using and they were superb - and have been ever since too.

Thanks!

Sounds consistent with my brief experience. God only knows what their after sales is like.

Try and speak to Jane in the sales team, I bought my 5 from her and she is very helpful.

Have avoided since, years ago, after a routine service a friend of the family found the toolkit had disappeared from his 3 Series boot. They didn't want to know.

Go somewhere else, there are many alternatives

Thanks! Just did a quick google and found a few posts immediately about Berry. All pretty consistent and not positive.

Not dealt with Berry on a personal level but have on a business level and they seem very professional. I would seriously avoid coopers in Thames Ditton and cobham, have appalling service from both of them. Barons in farnborough are very good

As a bit of balance, had a very good experience with chiswick bmw recently. Test drove 4 and 3 series, well looked after and followed up, provided everything I needed and would buy from them if I wanted a bmw. No affiliation, just enquired as a random customer.

I bought from berry heathrow and they were excellent at the time - that was 4years ago though. Have dealt with both heathrow and Chiswick in the last 6months and they have been absolutely dire and I wouldn't give them my money now tbh.

I love my BMWs and am on my 8th in the last 10 years but I hate the dealerships - they are dire. I have found one that is good and they now get all of my trade.

Thanks for all the additional feedback. I do sometimes wonder if the dealers within the M25 are generally more arrogant because of the concentration of customer base ?

We've bought most of our cars over the past few years from Cotswold BMW in Hereford. Absolutely top/honest salesman who understands the importance of "Know Your Customer". From the feedback above, feels like we should continue to do so!

That is intersting was it a new car you purchased if so I wonder what deal you got because TRL Tony Lewis is the king of deals and works for Chiswick and Heathrow if new wonder what he would have done for you ? You can see his 4 series deal here

I used them once for a routine service. Never again.

Seems impossible to find a decent dealership around Kingston area for servicing my X3.

I dealt with Stefan loots in BMW Berry Chiswick sales department who was extremely arrogant and unhelpful. In the end i bought my car from Arden Maidstone who were much more helpful.

Berry Mini Chiswick however are extremely helpful.

They are my local dealer so I only use it if i want to pop in and look at a model in their showroom. Not worth using for anything else. I think they have a captive West London audience so don't need make any effort to get their salles which results in a poor attitude
