Laguna Seca Blue e46 m3 - are there any coupes left?
Discussion
Hi guys,
I'm finally in a position to buy an m3 coupe in my favourite colour but there are none about in nice condition with low miles.
So if anyone knows of one for sale or has one they want to sell, please post here.
Must be very clean and sub 60k
I have cash waiting
Thanks

However, there is a convertible one with 44k floating about in the classifieds so they are out there.
That's because only posers bought ragtops for sunny days only (why they don't have big miles on them) whereas drivers bought the coupes and drove the tits off them....
which is why there aren't that many low mile E46 M3's coupes about (and can't be many below 60k period)As is always said - buy on condition NOT mileage.
Convertibles are more likely to be stored during the winter or used as a weekend car hence you can understand why there would be one with 44k mileage. A coupe with that low mileage is going to be a bit of a garage queen and if you actually intend to drive it and rack up some miles, it will lose value pretty quickly.
I think the usual "buy on condition first" applies to these cars, go in with your eyes open and there will be some with higher mileages which have been well looked after. It's a good idea to view a few before buying so you get to know more about the cars and the common issues, etc. Also colours in person will look different to the photos (LSB is very nice though).

Yep, that figures. I'm just trying to have my pie and eat it really. I suppose I wouldn't mind one thats a bit more leggy but as you say, condition and history are everything. It's only going to be a summer car for me so I won't be putting mega miles on it.
I so nearly bought a black one but after seeing an LSB one going the other way on the way home, I was kind of glad I didn't.
I just feel that there is something special about the way the LSB one's look. it's odd for a colour to alter the look of the same model of car but I feel that LSB ones have a lot of presence somehow.

I agree with you about LSB, especially with matching LSB interior. It's my favourite E46 M3 colour as well and back in 2010, when I was toying with the idea of buying one I tried to find one. I spent most of the summer of 2010 looking and only turned up 2 x LSB coupe's in that time, one was a leggy dog, and the other was a nice-ish car with about 70k, but still far from mint.....and this was 4 years ago.I so nearly bought a black one but after seeing an LSB one going the other way on the way home, I was kind of glad I didn't.

Be prepared to wait a long time for one.
