Speak to a chap called Kurt Ramsden on www.m5board.com (e34 forum)
he has AC Schnitzter set-up in place of the usual EDC (or optional 'ring ) set-up on the 3.8....

I've driven it and it sticks to the road like poo to a blanket

I have the Hartge set up supplied and fitted by Birds.I think it gives a very nice compromise with a bias towards a more sporty set up.

There are a few people with this set up and it is well rated. Costs about £1200 to replace all four including new bottom wishbones I believe.

However, it is worth a nosey around on the m5board as there is a chap there looking to refurbish goosed edc units (he's an aerospace engineer). This may end up being a cheaper and better option.
