Why is my BMW DVD nav scared of directing me via B roads to avoid traffic? It seems to stick to Motorways and A roads.

Add dynamic routes to your criteria. Also if it's on fast it will usually take you on the motorway.

I usually go on short route as usually is the lanes and then chose the Eco pro route. This seems to give the best mix up A and B roads.
