i have been offered some bmw style mv alloys for my 323i e46 with 225/18/40 profile tyres on all wheels.i have been told these will go straight on without affecting speedo reading? can this be confirmed

Well guessing that they came off a 3 Series BMW they should be fine, if you have any doubts then have a look what are currently fitted to your car and see if the diameters are close using this
