HEATER 323I

my car is a 323i v reg ,i am sorry to repeat myself but everytime i start my car the heater comes on. i can then turn if off or adjust heater settings or put it onto auto setting and it all works perfectly.once turned off with engine running it does not come on until turned on again,infact it does nothing strange other then this.is it normal for heater to come on everytime engine is started?thanks

My T plate 328i works in exactly the same way so I don't think it is a problem with your car.
