Hi all,

The Mrs drives an E90 320d M Sport which I believe has the M47 engine 160bhp.

The car has only done 65k miles and is pristine, always been serviced yearly and with good oil etc, it drives faultlessly except for one problem which I notice occasionally and would really like to get to the bottom of.

When the car is warmed up, it sometimes has a splutter or hesitation when you are using only light throttle at low revs. If you rev the car a bit higher or properly boot it then it pulls very well and completely cleanly all the way from idle to redline, but if you are driving along at 50 or that sort of speed at 1800rpm (or similar) then gently press the gas a little more to increase speed, it sometimes sputters and hesitates for a second before clearing itself.

Almost like a misfire. Theres no funny noises or smoke that I notice, just this silent loss of power for a second here and there.

Any ideas??

Sounds like the egr actuator - happens as u say as it tries to open and close egr valve - a new vacuum actuator will probably sort it

same, driving me nuts, I thinking a damaged vac line somewhere, or turbo actuator issue?
