B10 3.3 manual here - it's lovely, and a keeper. one of c.10 RHD manual saloons in the UK (the 3.2s are v.nearly all manual; the 3.3s v.nearly all Selectronic autos)
Wonderful mix of fabulous engine, in fabulous chassis; not so powerful you can't wring it out on the road, which is good: to do so is to revel in the paring. I tried several E39M5s, and bought this B10 over all of them; it's not as fast overall, but a much sharper, more engaging tool to me - not least because its about 300KG lighter!
(fairly complete history in my garage here if interested.)

Switchtronic, doh! You may well be right, but the numbers I saw were 240 saloons total production, 38 manual; of the total production, 112 sold in the UK (Alpina register uk figures). It's not remotely important, really.
Not to distract: OP - if you like what you find in driving an Alpina, those of us here who already enjoy them hope you will too.

It's been a while since the first post on this subject and I'm sure people are still reading this when they search 'Alpina'. As a TVR owner for the last 12 years I recently added an E93 B3s to the garage alongside the Griff500 and BMW 645ci.
Things must have changed a lot since 2017 'cos the Alpina Register owners/moderators are just not answering emails or updating their information which appears out of date and ill maintained. Very disappointing from a new Alpina owner point of view. Maybe I just expected more from a niche brand. Just my opinion but yet to be convinced otherwise. That said, I went to the National BMW event at Gaydon at the weekend and met some great Alpina owners there which is more important overall.

I've also got an E93 B3S (235). The Alpina Register forum has been suffering from some long term issues but it is up and running at the moment.

Cheers Phil. Lovely car of yours. Mine was first registered 23/10/10 so the numbers tally. I can read the forums but nothing else at the mo but will post pics there and update the register too when I get permissions through. Markhttps://www.thealpinaregister.com/

The alpinaregister site has been subjected to at least two, possibly three now, deliberate attacks that took it down for extended periods and left many members, myself included, unable to log on - there are also ongoing issues with search facilities and data sets I believe.Things must have changed a lot since 2017 'cos the Alpina Register owners/moderators are just not answering emails or updating their information which appears out of date and ill maintained. The content of the site is a little quieter perhaps due to that but like any forum, you get out of it what you put in.

I even got an alert from a security monitoring company to inform me they had identified my email and password being offered up for sale on the dark net.
Luckily I use lastpass so it didn't matter but for people who use 1 email and 1 password it could cause problems.
For that reason I wont use the alpina site even though I have a few.
N.B. This is nothing against the site as I understand how laborious running a forum can be. It is merely a warning to all people who register.
