If it were me and a certain make of wheels had cracked I would be ditching all 4 & buying a different brand, I would NEVER be able to trust them again.
Don't buy a BMW with 19" wheels then. Can't think of anyone off the top of my head for repairs, used to be a guy local to me who did them but he is far too busy these days to entertain doing a wheel
Is Cwmbran too far?

Could check the South Wales forum, I think this has been asked before.

Which type of 19" wheels are they ?
I had a Z4 35iS and the ones on that (type 326) were relatively OK but the other style of 19" (296 I think - basically more spokes) were very prone to it !
I remember the 19" wheels on my 330d were also ok (313's) but one of the earlier styles (style 225) were a nightmare and BMW kept denying anything.
If I like standard 18" ones (as I do for example on the 340i) I would never go for 19's again with run flats.
I have had no issues with the 19" alloys on my A45 - maybe I am lucky .... or shouldn't be typing this !! 19's always look nice but are not good for UK roads.

I'm not 100% sure about this because I don't have a BMW new enough but I have some kind of recollection that there was a product recall for cracked alloys, possibly the 'MV4' design - or if not a full recall then it might have been that some dealers were meeting clients halfway on repair cost or something. Certainly it's been a known issue for a while - there's even been a class action suit in the US.
[quote]March 6, 2015 — A BMW Z4 cracked wheels lawsuit has reached the settlement stage as BMW agrees to cover the cost of replacement Z4 wheels and damaged tires under the warranty period.
The BMW Z4 cracked wheels lawsuit was filed by Barry Jekowsky after he was forced to pay over $2,000 to replace the V Spoke Style 296 alloy wheels and two tires that were cracking and splitting.
Jekowsky had leased the 2011 BMW Z4 with a warranty period of four years/50,000 miles and according to court documents, the cracked wheels occurred before 20,000 miles. Believing BMW would replace the wheels under warranty, Jekowsky took the car to a dealer who promptly refused to perform the repairs for free.
The Z4 lawsuit alleges Jekowsky wasn't alone because other Z4 owners had experienced the same problems. Additionally, BMW had allegedly been sued by owners of other BMW vehicles after wheels cracked and the automaker had refused to accept liability.
BMW tried to get the lawsuit dismissed and did succeed in getting two allegations dismissed, although the judge allowed the lawsuit to proceed based on charges of refusing to honor the implied warranty.
In the Z4 settlement agreement, BMW will reimburse members of the class-action lawsuit for expenses related to repairs or replacement of the wheels and/or on model year 2009-2013 BMW Z4 cars. The agreement applies to cars originally equipped with V Spoke Style 296 alloy wheels. BMW said it will also reimburse affected owners for expenses related to replacing the damaged tires if the damage occurred from the cracked wheels. The agreement applies to damages that occurred, or will occur, during the warranty period.
The BMW Z4 cracked wheels lawsuit was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California - Barry Jekowsky v. BMW of North America LLC.

Increasingly difficult these days as most models seem to have been designed for 19" and up - aesthetically speaking at least.
And if you have the M Perfromance braking system you can't fit 18" wheels anyway.Theoldfm said:
Is that a fact on the new 3 series too? I am sure I have seen a couple on 18"s with the blue msport calipers....?
Certainly got no problems with my M135i, that has the M Sport brakes and rides on 18" and there is also a 17" winter wheel option available from the dealer aswell.Monty Python said:
