Has anybody had the same? Will BMW fix it as the car is still under warranty?

It's well annoying

Every single car I've ever driven with that steering wheel does that. It's infuriating especially as the older version was really solid.

Wow thats shocking, my old e90 had a solid steering wheel compared to this one and even my mk2 fabia had a better built wheel

Im assuming bmw won't do anything then?

Cheers

Mine's the same. Reviews always seems to say how good the M Sport wheel is, but the first thing I thought when I got my F30 is, "Wow, this wheel feels cheap and flimsy compared to my Fiesta!"

Funnily enough I picked up my M240i was doing this last week.

I am going to ask the Techs at some point to see if I can get it done under warranty. But my gut feeling is it won't make any difference as they all appear do the same.

This really is annoying isn't it. Mine drives me mad - especially as when I drive the Mini with it's Sport steering wheel its completely solid and squeak free, yet in my 5 Series with a list price of well over double it feels like its been made by the same people who make the trays for Mr Kipling.

Has anyone had any success in getting this fixed by BMW?

It's only this specific design of wheel that seems to do it - older ones don't and the new G Series ones don't... it can't be acceptable surely?
