BMW Adaptive Cruise Control
Discussion
You'd normally be able to distinguish Adaptive Cruise by the radar dome situated in the lower front grille of the bumper.

This is what you're looking for in the front bumper of the F11: https://goo.gl/images/Hba1Qt
You can also tell by the extra buttons on the left side of the steering wheel, to the inside of the normal ones, above and below the scroll wheel. These are to increase/decrease the follow distance.
There is no easy way to search for it on the BMW Approved Used website, I had the same issue 6 months ago when I was looking for an F11 535i with it. I gave up in the end as its a pretty rare option, so good luck!

Thanks for the info chaps. Shame there is no easy way of filtering for for them but at least I might get some idea from the pics.
It's not ideal but hover over the 'more spec' button on each car and it shows the full options list. Easier than trying to make it out in the pictures i find (some of which are crap!)Autotrader lists 30 nationally:

Yes but that's only sellers who've chosen to list in their description, there will be others out there who haven't included.I find the only way to know for certain with BMWs is doing the VIN look up. I got my M135i from a Mercedes dealer for a great price as they'd listed it as the standard car since they didn't know what spec it was, but it had over £6k of options. Some of them like Adaptive Dampers you'd simply never know without seeing the build sheet.

Have to start somewhere...I find the only way to know for certain with BMWs is doing the VIN look up. Yes it’s often supermarket type places or other marques that omit options from the advert.
A lovely manual M135i LCI in a Lisburn supermarket right now. They’ve not highlighted the pro media, electric seats, HK, cruise and heated seats, all which are options and can be seen in the interior pictures. One of the cheapest LCI M135i in the country too.
(I was looking for an M-lite before settling on a 340iT)
Best thing you can do is look at the pictures for the giveaway signs.
At least adaptive cruise is an easy spot.
On the E series cars the sensor is usually to the side of the lower radiator grille, a panel with a black circular ‘eye’ in the middle.
My old 335i manual had it. It wasn’t really a good mix with the transmission as it cuts out below 20mph on the manual car. The newer ‘stop and go’ versions combined with an automatic gearbox are much more usable.
On Mercedes the big star on the grille is a solid plastic item on cars with adaptive. Cars without it have recessed segments and normal grilles between the spokes of the star.

te, I can never understand why these car manufacturers can't sort out a decent filter with the various options available.
Indeed. I don't know if it's still the same, but I had a quick look recently for a 530d and because I couldn't easily filter by engine size I ended up having to trawl through all the 520s!

We have it on the wife’s Golf, it’s more trouble then it’s worth IMHO. One of the reasons I never looked when sourcing my F11
It’s in our Golf as well, combined with DSG it’s great, makes motorway driving effortless.........once you gain confidence in it.Gassing Station | BMW General | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
