I have managed to mismanage the service requirements on my newly acquired 325i ((2010).
miles back. The car was further serviced one year ago 6,000 miles back although only the brake fluid box ticked.
I have come to dislike condition based service schedule. I have no idea what the service will entail, nor cost involved.

The iDrive should tell you what's coming up? The centre dash display always counts down to the service item with the least life left in it.

The BMW Value Service website is pretty good, seems to have changed slightly recently, but you can still get an idea of the service basics (and costs) straight from BMW. I always make sure the dealer will match the value prices before booking, never had an issue yet - worth a browse.

Thanks for reply, first bmw I have owned with cbs, I noticed the service light come up but misinterpreted that as miles left to drive, it’s actually 4k over. I will have a look at the website you mention regards costs, I have booked in with our local indy bmw / mini service centre.

edit to add : tried the toggle to bring up service items (no idrive) and all I get is CHECK CONTROL check ok.
then further toggle I get set times and dates.
That is all I can call up so will have to check with garage what is going on, or not going on.

Yes, but don't forget to check the dealer's website too. I found mine did the value service £10 cheaper than the BMW UK online quote.
