F10 Cigarette Lighter Sockets light up but do not charge?
Discussion
Hello
Just a minor issue on my 2011 F10
Front and rear cigarette lighter sockets do light up but no car charger works in either.
Tried the car charger in another car, it works so no issue there.
Am I correct to replace fuse 54 is it or 65? according to fuse booklet in the boot
But a few searches online say the fuse in the glovebox is the one you need to replace.
Any help much appreciated

Hi
Silly questions, but what are you charging? Have you used exactly the same charger AND cable in the other cars? Sometimes the current from certain chargers/ cables is limited to 0.5A which then makes power hungry devices (latest smart phones) appear like they are not charging.
Changing the fuse will make little difference, unless your cars wiring is 'really' unconventional. Has anyone tried to tap other devices (dashcam, for example) into the cigarette lighter feed? Does it work as a lighter?
