My Bridgestone rft are due for replacement. I want to stay with run flats. Any recommendations?

Please don’t turn it into one of those ditch the rft. I am specifically interested in rft experiences and recommendations.

Thanks.

From what I've read the Bridgestones aren't too bad actually, compared to some of the other brands in RFT.

Have a scour of tyre tests and reviews. tyre-reviews.co.uk

I have 17's on my E92 330i.

I have Pirelli Cinturato and they seem comfortable and grippy.

I was tempted to get Bridgstone Driveguard as they seem a well though out tyre with good reviews, but stuck with the Pirellis.

The Bridgestone's on my 435d have been a disaster. 7 tyres replaced in less than 2 years, all for side wall bulges. I think the 40mm low profile doesn't work with the run flats design. In 20 years of driving I've never had a failure on my other cars.

I'm at the point of getting rid of the car, but if anyone has any good advice on where I should go with this I'd appreciate it.

GY F1 might be better than the Bridgestone. All I know is that I don’t think the Conti RFT are that great

I've only used 2 brands of run-flats, but the Pirellis I had on my 123d were way better in terms of ride and grip than the Bridgestones on my Z4.

Although the 123d had M-Sport suspension like the Z4, it had 205/50x17 tyres whereas the Z4 runs 225/40 x 18 fronts and 255/35 x 18 rears.

I am planning to ditch the run-flats on the Z4, but if I was sticking to them I'd definitely try something other than Bridgestone!

So far I've used Bridgestone RE050 (18"), S001 (18 and 19") and Pirelli P Zero (18"), and overall I'd have to rate them S001>P Zero>>RE050.

If you can get them, the new Driveguard are supposed to be good, and likewise, if you want to go with tyres that have normal sidewalls, Continental ContiSeal is an option.
