Can anyone tell me if the sunroof on the gran coupe opens fully or is it tilt only? Thanks

tilt only, and even then it is not a huge amount, but I am glad I have it if only to let more light into the car (I have an all black interior, bar the alu trim panels).

I really like the look of it. Definitely a must I feel I if I go down the 6 series route. Shame it doesn’t open fully though

Hi everybody, regarding to that I'm about to buy a 2013. Sunroof tilts just fine but sliding blind (sorry I don't know the proper name if there is any) is not operating. Anybody has an idea how complicated would that to get it fixed? I know sunroofs are expensive but was hoping since this is just the blind might be easier.

Many thanks

Depends what’s wrong with it.

Blown fuse… Piece of piss.

Knackered motor… Nause.

Thanks for that. I'll go take another look and this time to the fuse box as well smile

On the brand I normally work on, not BMW, via the OBD socket, I can recalibrate the roof/blinds. It sends a signal down the LIN, rather than use the button inputs.

The customer can normally replicate this. Been a while since I’ve done it, but seem to recall you hold the close button/buttons in for about 30 seconds. The roof/blind goes through a full open/close routine. When everything stops, take your finger off the button/buttons smile

Happens when the two have gone out of sync, and don’t know where each other are.

Thanks a lot. I'll get the car tomorrow. First thing I'll try will be this. What I understand is basically I'll press and hold the close button for 30 seconds am I right?
