BMW 325d intermittent power loss Help!!!!
Discussion
Hello, first post on here, sorry it's so long but wanna give as much information as I can straight up!
My BMW 325d has recently had a stage 1 remap and shortly after had glow plugs replaced and the egr and coolant thermostats were both replaced as I got a dpf filter warning light. Forced regen and no light since, car now runs at between 85-90°c.
Car was running brilliantly for the first week after all of this work then I had a momentary loss of power, seemed like it went into limp mode, no funny smells or smoke that I could see and these symptoms only lasted 30 seconds or so then went after I had stopped at a roundabout.
Car did this twice more, firstly in the same manner and second time it stayed in this state until I switched the car off and on again.
At this point I spoke to an Indy who advised it may be down to the fuel filter, car is a 58 plate with 62k miles and still on original, so I had this changed and felt that the car was less hesitant at low revs. He advised that the only fault code my car was showing was 3F25 (charge air hose monitoring I believe?)
The next day the same fault happened again whilst accelerating up a slip road, came off within half a mile and car was running at full power again. On tis occasion i put window down and listened for the turbo and found that it was either extremely quiet or not spoiling at all, on other occasions turbo seemed to spool but no power.
Can anybody help advise what is causing these problems?
Turbo spools properly 99% of the time and no loss of power generally and with it being an intermittent fault I would think this would rule out the turbo?
Thanks in advance
