I'd have said so.

I think one of the £20-30 kits plus the cost of the HF kit would get you the result you want.

Hi

I have a 2007 E92 with Idrive but no Bluetooth. All I wanted was Bluetooth phone connectivity - so fitted a Parrot CK3000 kit (about £80). It can operate totally handsfree using magic words to dial or text out.

It was a real squeeze to get it all behind the stereo. I eventually had to remove the PCBA from the supplied Parrot control box to get the control unit to fit behind the heater controls. I needed to wrap the PCBA in insulation to prevent any potential shorts. It all looks OEM with only the microphone indicating the install.

Very pleased despite the grazed knuckles at install time....

If they are like Fords the Parrot brain can be installted in one of the side bits below the HVAC system. This comes down to the side panels being removal. In my E46 there is more space if you remove the glovebox out of the way.

Sounds like more or less the same car as mine, iDrive without bluetooth, I'm after the same result as you.

Was it just the Parrot CK3000 kit that you needed or were there other parts required like the link SebringMan listed?

If you could, I would be grateful. I suspect it’ll be along the lines of what SebringMan linked to but better to get a steer to a known working configuration.

Cheers
